Welcome to Jaida!
This blog is best read with "It Takes a Woman" by Chris Stapleton playing in the background.
My name is Jaida Stahly. I'm 18 years old and a freshman at LBCC. While I am struggling to find my calling and navigate adult life, business is my comfort. Even though marketing, intro to business, and accounting are all required classes for my degree, I enjoy learning every bit of information from different instructors and learn so much about myself along the way. I attend LBCC full time, studying for my bachelor's in business administration. Don't take that label too seriously; I am passionate about what I want to do, and as I am introduced to new departments, this title changes. Building connections in life is very important to me, whether it is in a social or professional aspect. Learning different ways to connect with my peers is one way I am always looking to grow. My life outside of academics is rather fast-paced; I am not one to sit still. You can find me outside gardening, working on my cars, out on our boat, inside making delicious sourdough bread, or hanging out feeding my horse random snacks. This sounds exhausting to the average Joe, but I have it down to a science. I keep myself active and happy. One thing that all of my hobbies have in common is that I always get to enjoy them with a loved one. My mom, dad, boyfriend, best friend, someone is getting dragged along with my madness.
Harley, a once and a lifetime friend. Harley recently turned 12 and is currently living his best life in California while I'm in school. He is the sweetest, most forgiving soul I have ever met. Harley and I enjoy just lounging around enjoying the scenery, eating whatever snacks we can find, and occasionally putting on our competitive pants and hitting the show ring. Recently, I've competed in Oklahoma, Idaho, Washington, and California, usually going for the practice and fun; the buckles are just an added bonus. I think everyone deserves a partner in crime like Harley.
